MINT 400 SPECTATOR AND PARKING FAQ
What is a Mint 400 parking pass?
Mint 400 parking passes are QR coded, colored stickers that must be applied to the OUTSIDE of the upper right corner (passenger side) of your windshield prior to arriving at The Mint 400 race. Vehicles without visible parking passes will be not be granted access to parking. If you have tint on your windshield, please put the sticker below the tint line so it is visible from the exterior of the car. Parking passes are required to park a vehicle in Spectator area 1-4 in Jean, NV and on the backside of Buffalo Bill’s at the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line.
What happens if spectator parking passes are sold out and I don’t have one?
There will be FREE General parking at the Gold Strike Hotel in Jean, with access to Spectator Areas 1 – 4 via shuttle busses that run every 30 minutes. There will be FREE general parking for spectating at the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line in front of Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino, Primm Valley Resort, and Historic Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino.
Does everyone in my vehicle need a parking pass?
No. One parking pass is required per vehicle per spectator area.
I have a parking pass. Can I enter more than one spectator area?
No. Your vehicle is only permitted to enter the spectator area for which you have a pass for. If you wish to go to another spectating area, shuttles will be available to move between spectator areas.
Can I park on the road and walk into a spectating area?
Under no circumstance can you park on the road. No. Please do NOT park on any access roads in Jean including Las Vegas Blvd or Knight Ranch Rd. Your vehicle will be cited and/or towed.
How long are spectator areas open?
SPEC 1-4 in Jean, NV open on Saturday, March 10th at 5:00am and close at 9:00pm. The Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line opens Saturday, March 10th at 5:00am and closes at midnight.
How do I get to the spectating areas?
Spectator Areas 1 – 4 are accessed via Goodsprings Road in Jean, Nevada. The Official Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line is accessed via the Primm Valley FWY exit off HWY 15 and is held right behind Buffalo Bills.
Where does the money from my parking pass purchase go?
Parking passes help pay for the cost of spectator area development, race course development, land usage fees, parking staff, security staff, trash bins and pick up, portable restrooms and traffic control.
When should I expect my parking pass to arrive in the mail?
Spectator Parking Passes will begin shipping on February, 12th 2018. If you do not receive your parking pass prior to the week before The Mint 400, please contact [email protected].
Can I bring my RV, 5th wheel or Toy hauler?
No. Not into our spectator areas. They are not set-up for oversize vehicles though we are working on a dedicated oversize spectating area for future races. Only cars, trucks, and vans are allowed to park in S1 – S4 and/or the PRIMM parking area.
What is the speed limit at the race?
The posted speed limit for all access roads into spectator areas is 25 mph and will be strictly enforced. Every year dozens of tickets are issued to speeders. Just don’t do it. It’s unsafe.
Can I park anywhere inside the spectator parking areas?
Parking attendants will assist you when parking. Parking is first come, first served. If you plan to spectate with a group, please enter the spectator area you have purchased passes for together. Due to demand we cannot allow parking spaces to be saved. Please do not go rogue.
What if my spectator area is full?
If you have a spectator parking pass you have a guaranteed parking spot in that area. Each spectator parking area has been carefully measured to ensure adequate parking.
Where do I use the bathroom?
There are port-o-potties in each spectator area. Please help us keep these clean. Do not put trash in them!
Can I bring a BBQ?
BBQ’s are permitted. However, please do not dispose of coals on the open desert! BLM officers will be present and will issue citations for this.
Where should I put my trash?
If you packed it in, PACK IT OUT! There are also dumpsters and trash cans in each spectator area. Please help us LEAVE NO TRACE!
Can I camp in the spectator areas?
There is no overnight camping at The Mint 400 either before, during, or after the event.
-Do not under any circumstances leave the fenced spectator areas and travel onto the racecourse.
-Drones and/or unmanned aircraft, RC toys, UTV’s, motorcycles, and/or quads are forbidden.
-Firearms, fireworks, or weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden at The Mint 400.
-Removal of Mint 400 and sponsor signs, banners, or signage is considered theft and will not be tolerated.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
There will be Mint 400 security personnel at each spectator location including the Primm Valley Start/Finish. If you experience a medical emergency dial 911 and relay your location to EMS staff.
