BFGoodrich® Tires Named Presenting Sponsor of the Mint 400
Desert racing’s leading tire brand signs multi-year deal to sponsor iconic desert race
GREENVILLE, S.C., Dec. 16, 2015 – The brand that invented the all-terrain tire category is putting its heritage of success in off-road racing behind the largest desert race in the United States annually – the Mint 400. The Polaris RZR Mint 400 Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires will be March 9-12, 2016, near Las Vegas.
The multi-year sponsorship allows BFGoodrich Tires to engage with the off-road community throughout the full schedule of events, including the pre-race contingency festivities on Fremont Street, the annual Pit Crew Challenge, on site at the race itself and through broadcast on NBC Sports and advertising platforms.
“Desert racing is where BFGoodrich Tires has written much of its off-road history,” said Jaye Young, business segment manager, BFGoodrich Tires. “Sponsoring the MINT 400 provides a signature event in the United States for us to demonstrate product performance and develop activities around the race that continue to prove our leadership with the off-road enthusiast community.”
BFGoodrich Tires is coming off a record year of success in off-road racing, from short course championships to more desert race wins than any other tire manufacturer. BFGoodrich Tires has won 20 of the last 22 overall major North American desert races.
“We are excited to have BFGoodrich involved with The Mint 400 as presenting sponsor and a media partner. They have been a pillar of off-road racing and a huge advocate of off-road culture. We look forward to showing the world how exciting off-road racing is together,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli.
With its long heritage as an innovative all-terrain tire maker, BFGoodrich produces tough, durable and race-winning tires that offer unmatched traction and toughness and excel in the most precarious conditions. The tire brand boasts more off-road race victories than any other tire maker where conquering a variety of terrains with consistent performance and durability are paramount.
