BFGoodrich Tires will return as the title sponsor of the 2022 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 for the eighth consecutive year, event officials announced today. The most ubiquitous brand at the Great American Off-Road Race will continue to activate through the full week of festivities when the event returns to its traditional race dates this March 9-13, from the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday to two full days of racing based in Primm on Friday and Saturday.

“The Mint 400 isn’t the Mint 400 without the continued support of BFGoodrich Tires,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “BFGoodrich’s investment in our vision for the Mint 400, year after year, is what has enabled us to take the Great American Off-Road Race to continued new heights. This year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will undoubtedly be our best yet, and we look forward to welcoming countless fans to check out their on-site activations at both the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival and start-finish line as part of this year’s event!”

“BFGoodrich Tires is proud to return as the title partner of the Mint 400,” said Peter Calhoun, motorsports marketing manager for BFGoodrich. “For decades, the Mint has been the preeminent desert race in America, and one where BFGoodrich has tested the performance and toughness of our tires. Last year’s race saw Luke McMillin debut the 18” Baja T/A® KR3, which featured a forged mono-block wheel that posted the fastest qualifying time. It is the latest example of how BFGoodrich innovates and leads in off-road racing tire development.”

From the BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 that serves as the tire of choice for Unlimited Truck racers, to the BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 tire utilized throughout the pro UTV divisions, BFGoodrich Tires are the tires of choice for the world’s premier off-road racers. With more than 150 years of experience, it’s no surprise that BFGoodrich boasts more race wins than any other off-road tire manufacturer.

The 2021 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 saw an overall podium lockout for BFGoodrich-backed racers, led by a victory for Rob MacCachren in the BFGoodrich-sponsored Unlimited Truck. MacCachren was joined in the top three by Ryan Arciero and Luke McMillin after a dramatic battle throughout race day that ended with contact between MacCachren and McMillin and a thrilling sprint to the finish. The 2022 edition of the event will see BFGoodrich Tires pursue its 10th consecutive overall Mint 400 victory.

The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968 when it was first run. Initially, the race was a public relations event promoting the Mint Hotel’s annual deer hunt. but what started out as a hotel promotion soon grew into a legitimate desert race. Since its 2008 revival, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and deeper fields every year only make it tougher to win.

This year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will take place from March 9-13 in Las Vegas. More information on the event for racers and spectators is available at TheMint400.com, or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram.
