MINT 400 SPECTATOR AND PARKING FAQ
What is a Mint 400 parking pass?
Mint 400 parking passes are colored stickers that will be applied to your vehicle by a Mint 400 staff member upon your arrival to the area on race day. Parking passes are required to park a vehicle in all Spectator Areas and the preferred parking area at the Start/Finish in Primm, NV. To purchase a pass, click here.
What happens if Jean Spectator Parking Passes are sold out and I don’t have one?
There will be free general parking at the Gold Strike Hotel in Jean, with access to Spectator Areas 1 – 4 via shuttle busses that run every 30 minutes. The cost is $5.00 per person for the shuttle service. Kids under 12 ride for free. These shuttles operate from 8am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday. To purchase a shuttle pass, click here.
What happens if Primm Preferred Parking is sold out and I don’t have a pass?
There will be free general parking for spectating at the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line in front of Buffalo Bill’s Resort and Casino, Primm Valley Resort, and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino. These spots are available on a first come first served basis and typically fill up very fast.
Does everyone in my vehicle need a parking pass for Jean or Primm?
No. One parking pass is required per vehicle for both remote spectating in Jean or preferred parking in Primm.
Is there a per head ticket price for the Jean Remote Spectator Areas?
No. If you wish to park a vehicle inside, you need to purchase a parking pass. If you wish to utilize our shuttle service, you need to purchase a $5 shuttle pass for each person over 12 years old. Both are good for Saturday and Sunday.
Is there a ticket price to get in the Primm Valley Start/Finish Line?
Yes. Each person needs to purchase a ticket to enter the spectator area in Primm. The cost is $10 per person in advance or $15 at the gate, children under the age of 12 get in free.
Can I park at more than one Spectator Area?
Yes, but you must have a pass for each area you enter or you will be turned around. Example: If you have a PRIMM parking pass and S1 parking pass you may park in either location.
Can I park on the road and walk into a spectating area?
No. Under no circumstance can you park on any of the nearby roads. Please do NOT park on any access roads in Jean including Las Vegas Blvd or Knight Ranch Rd. Your vehicle will be cited and/or towed.
How long are spectator areas open?

How do I get to the spectating areas 1-4 in Jean?
From the 15 freeway take the Goodsprings Road exit East.
If you have a parking pass, turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd and follow the posted signs.
If you do not have a parking pass – go to the Gold Strike Casino, to take the $5 shuttle service.
How do I get to the Primm Valley Start/Finish Line?
The Official Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line is right behind Buffalo Bills Hotel and Casino.
From the 15 freeway take the Primm exit East. If you have a Primm parking pass follow the posted signs.
If you do not have a Primm parking pass look for available free parking and walk to the Start/Finish.
Where does the money from my parking pass purchase go?
Parking passes help pay for the cost of spectator area development, racecourse development, land usage fees, parking staff, security staff, trash bins and pick up, portable restrooms and traffic control.
When should I expect my parking pass to arrive in the mail?
Parking passes will not be shipped in the mail this year! You will receive a confirmation email with a scannable barcode for each spectator pass purchased. If you purchased 3 passes, you will receive three different barcodes in the form of a ‘ticket’. These tickets can either be printed from your confirmation email or scanned directly from your cell phone or tablet. You will present these tickets to our parking staff onsite, who will apply a parking pass to your vehicle. If you purchased parking passes for multiple areas, please make sure the barcode presented is the correct barcode for that area.
Can I bring my RV, 5th wheel or Toy hauler to the Jean Spectator areas?
No. Our spectator areas are not set-up for oversize vehicles. Only cars, trucks, and vans are allowed to park in S1 – S4. A very limited amount of dry camping RV spots will be made available at Primm in 2019.
What is the speed limit at the race?
The posted speed limit for all access roads into spectator areas is 25 mph and will be strictly enforced. Every year dozens of tickets are issued to speeders. Just don’t do it. It’s unsafe.
Can I park anywhere inside the spectator parking areas?
Parking attendants will assist you when parking. Parking is first come, first served. If you plan to spectate with a group, please enter the spectator area you have purchased passes for together. Due to demand we cannot allow parking spaces to be saved. Please – do not go rogue. Space is limited and we need your help to fit everyone in.
Can I save spots for my friends who are coming to the race later in the day?
No. Again, we cannot allow parking spaces to be saved.
What if my spectator area is full?
If you have a spectator parking pass you have a guaranteed parking spot in that area. Each spectator parking area has been carefully measured to ensure adequate parking.
Where do I use the bathroom?
There are port-o-potties in each spectator area. Please help us keep these clean. Do not put trash in them!
Can I bring a BBQ?
BBQ’s are permitted. However, please do not dispose of coals on the open desert! BLM officers will be present and will issue citations for this.
Where should I put my trash?
If you packed it in, PACK IT OUT! There are dumpsters and trash cans in each spectator area. Please help us LEAVE NO TRACE!
Can I camp in the spectator areas?
There is no overnight camping at The Mint 400 either before, during, or after the event.
-Do not under any circumstances leave the fenced spectator areas and travel onto the racecourse.
-Drones and/or unmanned aircraft, RC toys, UTV’s, motorcycles, and/or quads are forbidden.
-Firearms, fireworks, or weapons of any kind are strictly forbidden at The Mint 400.
-Removal of Mint 400 and sponsor signs, banners, or signage is considered theft and will not be tolerated.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
There will be Mint 400 security personnel at each spectator location including the Primm Valley Start/Finish. If you experience a medical emergency dial 911 and relay your location to EMS staff.
