BFGoodrich Celebrates Eighth Year as Title Sponsor of Mint 400
UNLTD Off-Road Racing officials are pleased to once again celebrate BFGoodrich Tires as title sponsor of the 2025 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400. As always, the BFGoodrich brand remains omnipresent throughout the Great American Off-Road Race, from downtown Las Vegas events like the Mint 400 Vehicle Parade and Off-Road Festival to both days of racing in Primm.

2025 is the first year of a three-year extension that BFGoodrich signed as title sponsor of the Mint 400, and the brand’s eighth year as title partner overall. The official relationship dates back even further than that, as BFGoodrich served as the race’s presenting sponsor for multiple years prior—but BFG-equipped racers have been taking on the Great American Off Road Race ever since its inception in 1968.

Last year, BFGoodrich swept both Mint 400 overall wins on four wheels. Adam Householder won the Unlimited Race on a set of BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3s, giving BFGoodrich the Unlimited Race win for the 13th consecutive year, while Ronnie Anderson took the Limited Race on his BFGoodrich KM3s.

BFGoodrich has already taken the top two class victories in Friday’s Limited Race, with Polaris Factory Racing driver Brock Heger winning the race overall in UTV Pro Open and Parker 400 overall winner Carib Potts taking the Class 10 victory. Top contenders to extend BFGoodrich’s Unlimited Race winning streak in 2024 include defending winner Householder, 2023 winner Eric Hardin, Tim Herbst, and Ryan Arciero in the Unlimited Truck 2WD class, and the Kevin Thompson in Unlimited Truck 4WD.

THROWBACK: 1978 Mint 400
In 1978 Director Robert O'Connor and his film crew followed the BFGoodrich Performance Racing Team on their journey to the world famous Mint 400. The BFG team, which included the Bill Stroppe built #235 Chevy Blazer of Frank "Scoop" Vessels and the sister Blazer of #247 "Baja" Bob Gordon and co-driver Gary Pace, entered alongside an incredible 437 competitors. This is their story...

The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968 when it was first run. Initially, the race was a public relations event promoting the Mint Hotel’s annual deer hunt, but what started out as a hotel promotion soon grew into a legitimate desert race. Since its 2008 revival, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and deeper fields every year only make it tougher to win.
This year’s Mint 400 will take place from March 5-9 in Las Vegas. More information on the event for racers and spectators is available at TheMint400.com, or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram.
