Qualifying Information
Qualifying Classes:
- Thursday Group 1 Classes: UTV Pro Stock, UTV Pro Stock Modified, UTV Pro NA, UTV Pro Turbo & UTV Pro
- Thursday Group 2 Classes: UTV Pro Open & Class 10
- Friday Group 1 Classes: Unlimited Truck SPEC
- Friday Group 2 Classes: Class 1, Unlimited Truck Legends & Unlimited Truck (2WD & 4WD)
Qualifying Format:
- Qualifying Course Distance: 5.25 Miles
- Qualifying Start Interval: Single car off the line, every 60 seconds.
- Staging Location: Primm Short Course Track. Park in pits.
- Staging Times: Please reference the Schedule of Events for start times.
- Site Lap: Each group will be given a guided site lap prior to the beginning of qualifying.
Thursday Qualifying notes:
- Registration: All Thursday qualifiers must be registered and banded on Wednesday, either at the parade staging/pre-tech or qualifying registration at the Kick-Off Party. Registration will be set up on 10th & Fremont.
- Safety Equipment Inspection: Helmets, suits and hans will be checked at both qualifying registration locations. Please bring these items.
- If you register and have your safety equipment inspected at the Parade, you do not need to go to registration at the Kick-Off Party.
- There will be no race registration or safety equipment inspection in Primm Thursday morning before Qualifying. If you are not banded or have not had your safety equipment inspected, you will not qualify.
Qualifying Driver / UDC6 Reminder: The driver qualifying the race vehicle must start the race, must be registered to the race vehicle and must have signed all of the releases required by the Unlimited Off-Road Racing. The qualifying driver will be given an additional “Qualifying” wristband at onsite registration that must be worn during both qualifying and the start of your race. Any team that fails to have their banded qualifying driver at the start line will forfeit their start position and be moved to the rear of their class.
Co-Drivers: A Co-Driver is required for both qualifying and race day.
Mechanical Issues During Run: If you have a mechanical issue during your qualifying run, pull as far off the course as possible and notify race ops via the Weatherman Channel ASAP. DO NOT pull back on to the course or limp around to the finish as you may impede a qualifier behind you.
Additional Runs: Drivers may be given an additional run if their qualifying run is affected by the driver ahead of them. If you have been held up on your lap, return to the start line and notify race ops staff immediately. Granting a repeat run is at the discretion of the Race Operations Manager. Additional runs will not be given for mechanical failures.
Course Cutting: You must remain on the marked course at all times. Departure from the qualifying course may result in disqualification and forfeiture of your qualifying position.
